Lacy defended her dissertation, “People Watching in Paper Worlds: Jost Amman (1539-1591) and Picturing the ‘Type’ in the Sixteenth-Century Illustrated Book,” in 2022. Her research specialties include the history of the book, printmaking, and Egyptian art and archaeology. Professor Gillette was the recipient of a Fulbright Research Fellowship for dissertation research conducted at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nurnberg in Erlangen, Germany (2019-2020). She will be conducting research in 2024 as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at the Newberry Library, the Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, and the Gotha Research Center at the University of Erfurt in Germany.
