Jeanene is the Administrative Assistant for the Department of Music, here at Winthrop University. Jeanene was born and raised in Rockingham, NC, but headed off to Greensboro, NC where she earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration at UNCG. She has extensive administrative experience in a range of workplace environments including manufacturing, religious, medical, and traditional office. Her skills include payroll, bookkeeping, budget preparation and management, accounts payables, office management, and purchasing just to name a few. She loves to sit down with a good cup of coffee and an even better book. Jeanene is married to her husband, Brian Rushing, who does broadcasting and announcing for Winthrop Athletic events. She has 3 grown daughters, and 3 granddaughters whom she loves to spend her time with. Oh, and you can’t forget her dog Lucky, who snuggles up in her lap while she’s having that good cup of coffee and reading that even better book!
