Adriana S. Cordis, Ph.D., CMA is Associate Professor of Accounting at Winthrop University where she teaches accounting analytics and cost accounting. Her research contributes to topics in managerial accounting, fraud, and education, as well as topics at the intersection of accounting, public policy, and ethics. Her research papers appear in a range of academic journals, including the Journal of Public Economics, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Accounting Forum, Public Finance Review, and Global Perspectives on Accounting Education. She received the Peter Brownell Manuscript Award for the best paper published in Accounting & Finance in 2017. Numerous newspaper articles have also cited her work. Prior to joining Winthrop, she was a faculty member at University of South Carolina Upstate and a consultant for Ernst & Young in New York City.
