This scholarship has assisted me in so many ways. As a first-generation student and from a low-income family, I have to fund my own education. This scholarship has helped relieve a lot of the financial burden that comes with the expense of college. Because of this scholarship I am able to focus more on my academics rather than acquiring large student loan payments. I really appreciate that Winthrop University provided me so many resources and opportunities. Thanks to Winthrop, I have achieved so much since the start of my college career.
