Studying at Winthrop has been a dream come true to me. I have been able to pursue a great higher education while being part of the Men's Golf Team. Winthrop has had a tremendous impact on me as a person, and I will carry everything I learned and my experiences with me for the rest of my life. None of this would have been possible without the help of donors. As an international student from Brazil, I've been adversely affected by the weakening of my home currency against the dollar. While Winthrop has not raised tuition since my first year here (2017), the currency exchange has made my tuition 85 percent more expensive for my senior year compared to my freshman year. The donor scholarships I received were an amazing help in assisting me and my family pay for my education and pursue my dreams. I am forever thankful for your support and I hope one day I can have a positive impact on students' lives as you provided to me.
