Stained and Leaded Glass Skylight
Circular in shape, this skylight has a large central medallion surrounded by panels of pale blue and turquoise blue glass. Within this circular multi-tone blue field are glass tiles set in ribbon and laurel wreath forms. Among the glass tile elements are double scrolls and cornucopia forms, the lamp of wisdom, and four torches of enlightenment. The artist, Payne Spears of Patterson, N.J., studied under and worked at the glass studio of Louis Comfort Tiffany in New York City.
