Dean's office notifies faculty and department chairs of faculty undergoing post-tenure review the following year.

10/31

Faculty submit Post-Tenure Review Committee recommendations to Department Chairs

11/15

Department Chair forwards Post-Tenure Review Committee to the Dean and notifies faculty of committee membership

11/25

Final date for faculty to appeal Post-Tenure Review Committee composition

1/10

Final date for online submission of post-tenure review materials by faculty member under review

2/1

Post-Tenure Review Committee forwards report to the faculty member under review and department chair

2/15

Final date to submit "optional" response to the post-tenure review report

3/1

Department chair's and Post-Tenure Review Committee report due to Dean

Dean's Review

  • For "satisfactory" ratings, all materials are returned to the faculty member and copies of letters provided to department chair, post-tenure review committee, and Dean's office
  • For "unsatisfactory" ratings, all materials and copes of letters are provided to the Chief Academic Officer, department chair, Post-Tenure Review Committee and faculty member

Deans forward lists of faculty who have received "satisfactory" ratings to the Chief Academic Officer

Chief Academic Officer's report (after conferring with department chair and Dean)

Final date to appeal "unsatisfactory" ratings with the Committee on Academic Freedom, Tenure, & Promotion

Committee on Academic Freedom, Tenure, & Promotion to forward its response to the President, Chief Academic Officer, and faculty member

President's final decision on the post-tenure review to be returned to the faculty, Chief Academic Officer, Dean, and Committee on Academic, Freedom, Tenure, & Promotion
