What makes Winthrop special to you? Winthrop challenges students to be the best that they can be while also creating connections

What do you love about Winthrop? The community at Winthrop is very supportive and diverse. You have people helping you to become the best you can and develop into a well-rounded person with global perspective.
Favorite Restaurant in Rock Hill: I can't choose just one. A few of my favorite places to eat in town are Showmars, Lee’s Chicken, and Sakura. You really can’t go wrong with any restaurant in Rock Hill!
What is your favorite event to attend in Rock Hill? I love going to a lot of different events in Rock Hill both on and off campus. Homecoming at Winthrop is phenomenal and live music can be found anywhere in Rock Hill, especially at Don’t Sweat it Fest at the Court Room!
Why should a student pick Winthrop? Winthrop provides students with the environment to think critically and communicate with others to problem solve and succeed. Winthrop also gives students the chance to experience different places and cultures and gain a more inclusive perspective.
What advice do you have for students during their search process? Always be sure to explore the city and the surrounding area of each school. Not only
should know how to get groceries, before you arrive on campus, but also where to find
fun and interesting things to do in your free time.
