What do you love about Winthrop? There is something for everyone here. We have more than 160 clubs, Greek Life, Athletic
events and much more. You will find the place where you fit and be able to “bloom
where you are planted”!
Favorite restaurant in Rock Hill: Roco Rotisserie located at 122 Oakland Ave. They have delicious food which is both
nutritious and affordable!
What is your favorite event to attend in Rock Hill? In April, “Come See Me Festival”, is always a highlight! The event lasts for 10
days and is filled with music, many events and vendors. People come from all over
the United States to attend the Come See Me Festival.
What is your favorite thing about Rock Hill? Rock Hill is a small town which is growing in an exciting way. Winthrop University
is right in the middle of this growth. When you want the excitement of a large city,
Charlotte is only 20-30 minutes away.
Why pick Winthrop: Winthrop University is a special place! You get the benefit of attending a smaller
campus where you are not just a number. Your professors will know you and you will
meet friends who you will keep for a lifetime. Attending class each day as you walk
through our beautiful campus, is an added bonus.
What advice do you have for students during their search process? Enjoy the journey
of visiting colleges and see where you feel the most comfortable. You will get a
feel for the climate of the campus from the very first time you visit. Ask lots of questions and be engaged as you visit each campus.
