Important Deadlines:

  • Spring Scholarship Deadline - December 1
  • Fall Scholarship Deadline - June 1

Decisions for non-freshman applicants (transfer, second undergraduate, non-degree, dual enrollment, or readmit) will be made on a rolling basis after a complete review of your application (may take up to three weeks from the time all required materials have been received).

Check your Winthrop Admissions Portal to view the status of your application and if any required materials are still needed.  Decisions will be mailed to your home address and can also be viewed in the portal.

York Technical College - Academic Pathways

Winthrop University and York Technical College have teamed up to create academic pathways for students who choose to start there and then transfer to Winthrop to make the transition between institutions a breeze.  A variety of Winthrop majors have outlined pathways for the York Tech coursework that's recommended for the smoothest transfer process.
