Dr. Frost is a British native where she was educated. She gained her BSc, MSc and PhD while studying in the colleges that compose the University of London in the United Kingdom. Her research in the department includes bacterial diversity and evolution in aquatic ecosystems and more recently has become focused on bacteriophage genomics and evolution. Dr. Frost co-mentors a multiyear research program called SEA-PHAGES and SEA-GENES, which is an extensive project, built around a national experiment in bacteriophage genomics, gene function and evolution sponsored by HHMI.
