Faculty & Staff Profiles

Professor Kull graduated from the Air Force Academy in 1989 as a chemistry major. Her initial specialty was in the logistics plans and programs career field. She was requested to return to the academy, transitioning from a logistician to an instructor. She taught chemistry until her retirement from the Air Force in the summer of 2006.

Wasting no time out of the classroom, Kull starting teaching chemistry at Winthrop in fall 2006. She has taught general chemistry lecture and lab regularly, as well as "Applying Chemistry to Society." To maintain proficiency in techniques, she can be found in the instrumental and analytical lecture courses and labs offered at Winthrop. During the summers, Kull has taught for York Technical College, both in the classroom and lab and online.

Outside of academia, Kull volunteers for several local organizations. With Hospice and Community Care her duties are varied, but primarily she serves as a patient companion. With United Way of York County, she serves as a member of the Allocations Committee, helping to determine the distribution of resources to the Community.

Between Kull's interest in chemistry and the mathematics knowledge of her husband, Trent Kull, also in the College of Arts and Sciences at Winthrop, their daughter has two live-in tutors at her disposal.
