Dr. Reiland is an associate professor in the Department of Psychology at Winthrop. She received her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Eastern Michigan University. As part of her graduate training, she completed a year-long internship at a VA Medical Center in Mississippi. She subsequently completed a two-year research fellowship at the Center for the Treatment and Study of Traumatic Stress at Summa Health System in Akron, Ohio. Her research interests focus on risk and resilience following exposure to potentially traumatic events or other significant life stressors. She often collaborates with students on research projects. She currently teaches General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, and Psychology as a Discipline and Profession.
