Dr. Senadheera is a Sri Lankan native where she graduated with a B.S. in Finance, Business, and Computational Mathematics from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, and another B.S. in Information Technology from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology, Sri Lanka. She was passionate about combining her knowledge in Math and IT, so she continued her higher studies. She acquired her M.S. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University in 2019 and her doctoral degree in computability theory and logic incorporating machine learning and big data from SIU in 2022. Upon graduation, she joined the mathematics department at Winthrop University.
Dr. Senadheera focuses on computability, computability theory, machine learning, and big data analysis. She loves teaching, helping students to thrive in math, and interacting with students by sharing her experiences of different cultures and backgrounds she had. Her hobbies are reading, cooking, and exploring new places with her Husband.
