Dr. Kim Stansbury is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi (BS, Criminal Justice and Psychology), Southern Illinois University (MSW), and the University of Kentucky (Ph.D in Gerontology.) She has published journal articles and book chapters on mental health, mental health literacy, gambling addiction, older adults, African American clergy, and older LGBTQ+ populations in journals such as the Journal of Gerontological Social Work, Aging and Mental Health, Religion and Spirituality, and Social Work and Mental Health. Dr. Stansbury is working on a project with investigating the role of the Black church in domestic violence prevention and intervention.
