Professor Stewart earned both B.A. and M.A. degrees in English at Winthrop University. She currently works full-time as the Scholarships and Programs Manager in Winthrop’s University Advancement office in addition to teaching courses in the English Department.
Her interests include composition pedagogy and techniques in student writing and modes of learning in the writing classroom; 20th century American literature, especially the work of John Irving, Lee Smith, and Sylvia Plath; and modern poetry.
