Ms. Tolson received her undergraduate degree in business administration, followed by a successful career in sales. She later took a leave from the workforce to be home with her children. In 1996 Ms. Tolson returned to school to attain her secondary teacher's certification in mathematics, and has been teaching since 1999, recently earning her masters in math education. Having taught at both the middle school and high school level, she currently teaches at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill, SC during the day and evening classes at Winthrop. Ms. Tolson has been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2001, and is also certified to teach AP Calculus AB and BC. She has served on state curriculum committees, has presented at NCTM and Texas Instrument conferences, and has chaired district curriculum committees. Ms. Tolson is passionate about teaching mathematics and places great importance on being a life-long learner. Her personal interests include running, cycling, and swimming.
