Winthrop University's Graduate Studies- Certificate Dietetic Internship

Once applicants are matched to Winthrop University, they will be contacted and instructed to apply for admission to Winthrop's Dietetic Internship Certificate Program through the Graduate Studies Application process. Requirements include submission of the online WU Graduate Studies application, official GRE scores, and official transcripts from all schools attended sent directly to Winthrop from the issuing institutions. There is an initial application fee to WU Graduate Studies but not for Winthrop's Internship program. This documentation is separate from that submitted to DICAS for the internship program. Apply for the fall semester in which the internship begins unless you plan to take classes during the spring semester. Completion of a graduate degree is not required but is strongly encouraged. Applicants who do not plan to pursue a graduate degree at Winthrop should apply for the Graduate Certificate in Dietetics. Only those interns who are degree-seeking or in the certificate program are eligible for student-based financial aid.

*Note: Interns who successfully match with Winthrop's program will pay tuition and lab fees for fall and spring semesters, a seminar fee, and will need to submit additional documentation including a complete record of immunizations and required titers, a 2-step PPD/TB test, required drug testing, and a criminal background check; some facilities require additional procedures such as additional drug screening, supplemental immunizations, and/or supplemental background checks.
