The Healthcare Management option is a strong interdisciplinary program which prepares students to manage in today's complex healthcare industry. Students apply coursework in the field by serving as a healthcare management intern. The combination of theory, research, and practical experience enables students to pursue master's level study in the business administration or health services or a variety of professional career opportunities. These areas include long-term care, acute care, outpatient management, physician practice management, and clinical services.
This program provides an excellent opportunity for employment. Over 85% of healthcare management students are employed in healthcare or enter a master's program within six months of graduation.
