Business Student on the Verge of Graduation Passes Away

ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA – A diligent student on the brink of his Winthrop University graduation has sadly passed away.

Terrance Jamal Taylor passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 19. He was only 33 years old.

The Hemingway, South Carolina, resident was pursuing a degree in business administration. He anticipated graduating in Winthrop’s Dec. 14 Commencement ceremony.

“Terrance absolutely loved Winthrop,” said Brandon Taylor, Terrance’s brother.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Nov. 26, at noon at Greater St. Park African AME Church, 1297 Old Georgetown Rd., Hemingway, S.C.
