Celebrate the Spooky Halloween Season at Winthrop University

wu pumpkinROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA — Pumpkin spice is all around, the temperatures are cooling down and “Hocus Pocus” is making its appearance on television. It must be Halloween! Check out these Halloween-related events at Winthrop University: 

Boogram Sales
Oct. 19 and Oct. 24, 11 a.m.-noon
DiGiorgio Campus Center lobby 
The Winthrop National Association of Black Journalists will sell Halloween treats—“boograms”—to be delivered later this month. 

Ghost Tours
Oct. 24, 6:30-11 p.m.
Tillman Auditorium
The Student Alumni Council will scare visitors with this creepy tour of Tillman featuring ghost stories, from the basement to the 4th floor. Tickets are $5 and it is a cultural event. 

Halloween Art Sale
Oct. 26, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
DiGiorgio Campus Center
Winthrop art students will sell their work. 

Halloween Party
Oct. 26, 8-10 p.m. 
Kinard Auditorium 
GLoBAL will host its annual Halloween party, featuring music, candy and games. 

Haunted Conservatory
Oct. 26, 8 p.m.-midnight
Byrnes Auditorium 
Take a creepy tour of the conservatory, including the Byrnes Auditorium stage, the basement and the hallways of the conservatory. Tickets are $3.

Zombie Lazer Tag
Oct. 27, 8-10 p.m.
Richardson Ballroom
Zombies take over in this fun DSU event. Cost: $5 with a Winthrop ID, $7 without or free with a DSU All Access Pass. 

Eagle Flicks: Get Out
Oct. 28, 7 p.m.
Dina's Place
In this smash horror-thriller, a young African-American man heads to a secluded estate to meet his white girlfriend’s family for the first time…but all is not quite as it appears. Tickets are $3.

DSU Scarowinds Trip
Oct. 29
Meet at 6 p.m. in front of the West Center.
DSU will take students to ride some creepy coasters at "Scarowinds." Tickets are $25 for All-Access passholders only.

Halloween Bake Sale
Oct. 31, 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Scholars Walk
Students will sell themed treats. 

Candy All Around the World
Oct. 31, 11 a.m.-noon
DiGiorgio Campus Center main lobby
The Global Perspective Academic Success Community will teach students about the different types of candy around the world. Free samples.

Halloween Happenings
Oct. 31, 5:30-8 p.m.
Student Activity Center gym 
The Resident Students’ Association (RSA) will host its annual carnival and trick-or-treating in the residence halls for the community. All activities are free.
