McCall Unanimously Elected for Additional Term on Winthrop Board of Trustees

  • Glenn McCall's new term will begin on July 1, 2021 and end June 30, 2027.

ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA -- Glenn McCall, who currently serves as chair of the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and fills an at-large seat on the board, was recently unanimously elected by members of the South Carolina General Assembly to serve an additional six-year term on the Winthrop board. 

His current term was set to expire June 30, 2021. His new term will begin on July 1, 2021 and end June 30, 2027.

A retired senior vice president of Bank of America, McCall, of Rock Hill, led the consumer customer behavior analysis group. He was first appointed to the Winthrop board in 2011 as the education superintendent designee. He was then legislatively appointed to an at-large seat in 2014. McCall also is chair of the budget committee for the Republican National Committee and was co-chair for the Committee on Arrangements for the 2020 GOP convention.

As chair of Winthrop’s board, McCall serves as an ex-officio member to the Winthrop University Foundation Board of Directors.
