ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA - Nationally syndicated radio personality Sheri Lynch '13, co-host of "The Bob and Sheri Show," will speak at Winthrop University on Tuesday, Feb. 16, at 6:30 p.m. in Carroll Hall's Whitton Auditorium.

Lynch, a two-time author and a graduate of Winthrop's Master of Social Work program, recently began sharing her journey as a child growing up in a home filled with domestic violence. Her Winthrop talk will focus on strength and resilience. Her talk is free, an approved cultural event for Winthrop students and open to the public.

Lynch joined the M.S.W. program because she "wanted the training to support others in crisis." She earned the M.S.W. Academic Excellence Award for her hard work and perseverance.

The Feb. 16 talk is sponsored by the Student Advocacy and Trauma Support, the Department of Center for Student Wellness and the Office of Sorority and Fraternity Affairs.
