ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA — In response to the growing demand for flexible online learning and advanced professional skills requiring a master's-level education, Winthrop University is introducing four online graduate programs with classes beginning in August of 2018. The programs are featured on a new website for online programs at Winthrop, www.online.winthrop.edu, where visitors can find details and request more information on the online Master of Business Administration, Master of Social Work, Master of Arts in Arts Administration, and Master of Education in Special Education Intervention programs.

Winthrop's online Master of Business Administration (MBA) program features a rigorous, AACSB-accredited curriculum that empowers students to lead with conviction in their current and future roles. Students will graduate with the ability and confidence to solve today's toughest business challenges. The flexible program enables students to customize their learning by choosing a concentration in Marketing or Strategic Leadership or creating their own custom concentration from the available portfolio of elective courses.

The online Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) program is a CSWE-accredited degree that prepares students to become specialists in empowerment practice and improve lives and communities as specialized social workers. It includes practical field work with field placement provided by a dedicated Winthrop specialist. The program is offered as both a 60-credit hour Traditional program and as a 39-credit hour Advanced Standing program for students who already have an undergraduate degree in social work from a CSWE-accredited program.

Winthrop's online Master of Arts in Arts Administration (M.A.A.A.) program combines current theory, academic research and practical projects to develop effective leaders in the arts. Students learn from experienced arts administration leaders, create a professional development plan and complete a real-world capstone project in this practical degree. Graduates are ready to work with skill, creative initiative and integrity in a wide variety of nonprofit arts environments in administration roles.

In the online Master of Education in Special Education Intervention (M.Ed.) program students learn from expert faculty who are board-certified behavioral analysts, interventionists and psychologists. The program prepares current teachers to transform the lives of students by putting them on the right path for success. Graduates learn how to build, lead and participate in literacy, numeracy and behavioral intervention programs that support students at their level of learning with minimal disruption.

Courses for each of these programs are fully online to offer maximum convenience for busy professionals. They feature the same rigorous curricula as Winthrop's respected on-campus programs, and are taught by many of the same faculty.
