The fraternity's Epsilon Eta Chapter at Winthrop was recognized with a Chapter Award
of Distinction due to its success as a high functioning fraternity in compliance with

& sorority affairs, called the achievement an outstanding accomplishment for a chapter
at a university of Winthrop's size.
ROCK HILL, SOUTH CAROLINA — The North-American Interfraternity Conference recently honored Winthrop University's Pi Kappa Phi organization as one of seven fraternities in the nation that exemplified the highest levels of
excellence in leadership, service and education.
The fraternity's Epsilon Eta Chapter at Winthrop was recognized with a Chapter Award of Distinction due to its success as a high functioning fraternity in compliance with the conference's
standards. Members also sought to educate others about the benefits of a values-based
fraternity experience and worked to maintain a healthy relationship with the international
organization.
Sarah Pankratz, Winthrop's assistant director of student activities for fraternity & sorority affairs,
called the achievement an outstanding accomplishment for a chapter at a university
of Winthrop's size.
"This chapter is a prime example of the type of fraternity/sorority experience we
encourage our students to create here at Winthrop," Pankratz said. "I am proud to
work with these students. I am thrilled that they are being recognized for all that
they do in adding value to the Winthrop experience and the fraternal movement."
She continued that the Pi Kappa Phi members always go above and beyond in community
involvement, recruitment, collaboration, support for other organizations, campus leadership
and overall operations. "The Epsilon Eta Chapter sets the standard of what is truly
means to be a fraternity man," Pankratz said.

Theta Xi — Beta Alpha Chapter, Georgia Institute of Technology
The North-American Interfraternity Conference is the national umbrella organization that governs 66 national fraternities which
includes 6,100 chapters located on 800 campuses.
