Honorary Organizations

    Description: Our past is prestigious. Not only are many of our members world-class scientists and engineers, but we sponsor a variety of scholarships and awards. Notable ones are the ACS Award in Pure Chemistry and the AIChE Award in Chemical Engineering. With our involvement in other chemistry and chemical engineering professional organizations, our members are a bridge between these various organizations.

    Description: Alpha Lambda Delta provides a community of scholars, a platform to develop your leadership skills, and financial support through scholarships and educational partners. We have been guiding students to academic and career success for over 95 years – accept membership and jumpstart your journey. 

    Trow Undergraduate Scholarship - Each year we award 50 scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $6,000 for undergraduate study. Application deadline is April 1.

    Stemler Study Abroad Scholarships - ALD awards 20 study abroad scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $2,000 to offset travel costs. Application deadline is March 1.

    Graduate Fellowships - Ranging from $2,000 to $7,000, our 26 fellowships help members pursing advanced degrees. Application deadline is February 1.

    Description: Our aim is to encourage dramatic production at every step in a person's academic career. Scholarships and grants are awarded each year to recipients to further their education and professional goals in theatre.

    Description: Chi Sigma Iota's mission and goals include recognizing excellence in counseling scholarship, research, leadership, and practice, and developing leaders for the counseling profession. These goals are accomplished in part through our International Awards Program. CSIs awards recognize outstanding individuals and chapters, students with the potential for leadership in the profession, and extended leadership service to the counseling profession.

    Description: Delta Alpha Pi is an academic honor society founded to recognize high-achieving students with disabilities who are attending colleges (including community colleges) and universities as undergraduate or graduate students.  This dynamic organization celebrates and supports academic achievement, leadership and advocacy for post-secondary students with disabilities.

    Description: Non-traditional students often encounter work and family obligations that can interfere with their education. NSCS will award (5) $1,000 scholarships to members that have excelled academically despite these obstacles. NSCS offers a variety of scholarships and awards:

    Despcription: The NSLS Foundation Scholarship and Awards Program supports members for their desire to make a difference, leadership growth, service, member excellence, and financial need.

    Description: Every year, Omicron Delta Kappa awards scholarships to more than 40 collegiate members to continue their education through graduate and professional study. These scholarships are intended to further the education of those members who have demonstrated success and leadership in scholarship, athletics, service, communications, and/or the arts, consistent with O∆K’s fundamental ideals: collaboration, inclusivity, integrity, scholarship, and service.

Order of Omega recognizes upperclassmen who have exemplified high standards in the areas of scholarship, leadership, involvement within their respective organization and within the Fraternity/Sorority, campus, and local community.     Description: Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity is a national professional fraternity for persons engaged in or pursuing careers in physical education, health, recreation, dance, human performance, exercise science, sports medicine and sports management.

    Description: Since 1932, Phi Kappa Phi has supported the educational pursuits of its members through a robust awards program. The Society awards more than $1 million each year to outstanding students, members, chapters and institutions.

    Description: Pi Sigma Alpha seeks to promote excellence in the study of political science through a variety of programs for student members and local chapters. As Pi Sigma Alpha continues to grow and prosper, the scope of programs for chapters and members may be expanded in the future to include bigger awards and/or more awards in each category.

    Description: Psi Chi offers over $400,000 in awards, grants, stipends, and scholarships every year. And because our programs are open only to our members, there is a much smaller pool of competitors than other programs. Our deadlines are throughout the year, with some programs having two or three rounds during each year. All of Psi Chi’s awards, grants, and scholarships are peer reviewed by volunteer doctor faculty.

    Description: Annually, Sigma Tau Delta offers a variety of scholarships valued at up to $6,000 each. Because these scholarship opportunities are offered exclusively to Sigma Tau Delta members, those members who take the time to submit a carefully assembled application have a significantly better chance of receiving an award.

    Description: A national honor society designed exclusively for transfer students!  Our mission is to "recognize and promote the academic excellence and involvement of transfer students."  Tau Sigma provides its members opportunities to earn scholarships, attend leadership conferences, take leadership positions in the university, serve others at the university and in the community, all while developing friendships and becoming a more integral part of the university to which they transferred!
