Summer Business Institute (SBI)

Winthrop's Summer Business Institute (SBI) is an exciting new opportunity for students and professionals alike who are interested in starting or advancing their career in business with a unique, intensive educational experience. The SBI leverages Winthrop's high-quality, learner-centered education in areas such as writing, critical thinking, and business, helping participants strengthen or fine-tune their leadership and communication skills.

The SBI program is a six-week non-credit program, divided into 2 distinct, three week sessions. Click here to learn more.

The SBI is ideal for:

1. Aspiring MBA students: Students who did not major in business as undergraduate students, but who wish to begin the MBA program.
    
2. International MBA students: Admitted Winthrop MBA students who may need additional preparation before starting their program of study.
    
3. Recent Winthrop graduates: Recent non-Business Winthrop majors or alums who wish to strengthen their technical business skills as they prepare to enter the job market.
    
4. Adult learners and aspiring entrepreneurs: Local adult learners who wish to change careers, reenter the job market after a long absence, or start a new business.
    
5. Students from other universities: Students from other universities as well as recent graduates from other universities who are trying to improve their job market options.
