WHEREAS, Tadean Page, by virtue of his position as President of the Council of Student
Leaders, has served as the student representative to the Winthrop University Board
of Trustees during the 2017-18 academic year; and
WHEREAS, he has employed his concern for all people, his community spirit, and his
experience as a student leader to ensure that Winthrop University continues its tradition
of outstanding service to students and community; and
WHEREAS, Tadean consistently shared thoughtful advice and counsel with the President
and the Board and devoted himself to the fulfillment of Winthrop University's mission;
and
WHEREAS, Tadean has shown a tenacious commitment to Winthrop University through his
involvement as an Orientation Leader, co-host on the Winthrop radio station, multiple
leadership roles within the Council of Student Leaders, member of the Alpha Phi Alpha
Fraternity Inc., and 2017 Homecoming King; and
WHEREAS, Tadean built a reputation as an enthusiastic advocate for students with a
strong desire to see all his peers achieve, while he also embodied exceptional grace,
distinctive style, and charisma;
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and President
Dan Mahony recognize Tadean Page for his commitment to, support of, and distinguished
leadership in student endeavors at Winthrop University.
