WHEREAS, the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and the Winthrop University Foundation
have a shared interest in advancing the community needs of the Rock Hill community;
and
WHEREAS, both Winthrop University and the City of Rock Hill possess venue spaces that
could serve as a benefit to the other in times of need; and
WHEREAS, Winthrop University and the City of Rock Hill have a long working relationship
in providing amenities to the community; and
WHEREAS, that relationship is best utilized when expectations regarding the appropriate
use of rented space are properly outlined
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE WINTHROP BOARD OF TRUSTEES that the attached
Memorandum of Understanding between the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and
the City of Rock Hill be accepted.
