WHEREAS, Imani Belton, by virtue of her position as President of the Council of Student Leaders, has served as the student representative to the Winthrop University Board of Trustees during the 2019-20 academic year; and
WHEREAS, she has employed her experience as a student leader to ensure that Winthrop
University continues its tradition of outstanding service to students and community;
and
WHEREAS, during her time at Winthrop University, Imani has served as an Academic Success
Center Tutor, Diversity Peer Educator, Peer Mentor, a member of the LIFT planning
committee, and the Public Relations co-committee chair on Council of Student Leaders.
THEREFORE LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Winthrop University Board of Trustees and President
George W. Hynd recognize Imani Belton for her leadership in student endeavors at Winthrop
University.
