WHEREAS, pursuant to S.C. Code Ann. §59-125-1, et. seq., the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University is created and established as a body corporate for the purpose of effectuating the educational mission of Winthrop University;
WHEREAS, pursuant to Board of Trustees of Winthrop University Bylaws art. IV, (D), the Board of Trustees is responsible and empowered to approve the University’s fiscal year budget;
WHEREAS, the Winthrop University Administration will submit final revenue and expense numbers of the 2023-2024 Fiscal Year by August 31, 2023; and
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Winthrop University budget for Fiscal Year 2022-2023 previously approved by the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University be continued into Fiscal Year 2023-2024 beginning July 1, 2023, with all changes incorporated for the state allocations and mandated expenses until such time as the Board of Trustees of Winthrop University shall approve a final budget for Fiscal Year 2023-2024.
