For Veterans and Service Members

Chapter 30: Montgomery GI Bill, Active Duty (MGIB-AD) provides education benefits to Veterans and Service Members who have at least two years of active duty service.
Chapter 31: Vocational Rehabilitation Training Program
 helps veterans who have service-connected disabilities to become employed and or maintain suitable employment.e at least two years of active duty service.

Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill provides tuition assistance, a housing allowance, and a book and supplies stipend for individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after September 11, 2001 or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days.

Chapter 1606: Montgomery GI Bill, Selected Reserve (MGIB-SR) provides up to 36 months of educational benefits to members of the Selected Reserve (including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Army National Guard, and the Air National Guard).

 

For Dependents and Spouses

Chapter 33: Post-9/11 GI Bill Transfer of Entitlement allows Service Members to transfer all or some unused benefits to their spouse or dependent children. The Post 9/11 GI Bill provides tuition assistance, a housing allowance, and a books and supplies stipend to individuals with at least 90 days of aggregate active duty service after September 11, 2001 or individuals discharged with a service-connected disability after 30 days.

Chapter 35: Survivors' and Dependents' Education Assistance Program provides up to 45 months of education benefits to eligible dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or of Veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.
