The Winthrop Honors Program has evolved into one of the university's most exciting offerings. The program requires completion of at least 24 hours of Honors courses, a senior Honors project, and service learning. To receive Honors credit for a course, the student must complete the course with a grade of B or better. A cumulative GPA of 3.30 is required to enroll in Honors courses.
Honors students benefit from small, intensive, interactive Honors courses; Honors advising; and academic support. Honors students have the opportunity to live in Honors residence halls. They are also allowed to register earlier than other students, and they receive Honors recognition and regalia at commencement.
