Faculty and Staff - August 31, 2023

Excitement is building as the strategic planning process crosses the halfway point! Thank you for your participation thus far. We have had such fantastic response to the many opportunities to be involved, and now we have another event just for you!

Please join me, Gary Simrill ’91, chair of the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, and the Berkeley Research Group (BRG) team for one of two faculty/staff-focused town halls on Tuesday, Sept. 19, in Dina’s Place. The first is during common time, 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m., and the second is from 3-4:15 p.m.

These two town halls are designed especially for faculty and staff in order to update you on all the great work accomplished to date, share findings from the data collection phase, present the direction of our strategic plan, and solicit your feedback.

How to Ask a Question
Your voices and questions are important. I invite your questions to be shared with BRG in advance by noon on Friday, Sept. 15, so they may be addressed during the presentations, or if time, asked/answered live toward the end of the town halls. The confidential e-mail to use for question submission is strategy@winthrop.edu; this address goes directly to BRG and nowhere else.

How to Participate in the Town Halls

The town hall sessions are in person, and we would like to see as many people as possible in Dina’s Place, but the sessions will be accessible via Zoom as well.  A video recording also will be made available afterwards if you are unable to participate live. More details on how to view the town halls will be provided by email closer to the date.

You are a valued member of the Winthrop community, and we look forward to sharing more about next steps with the strategic planning process. I hope you can join us on Tuesday, Sept. 19
