Lightboard Studio

Where and what is the Lightboard?

  • The Lightboard is located in Bancroft 307.
  • It is a transparent white board that is made out of glass. Neon markers are used; so that when the lights on the board are turned on, your writing on it will glow. Faculty, staff, and students are capable of using this board for presentations and video and lecture recordings where you can provide annotations, or even draw diagrams or organizational charts to help explain a concept or idea. When you are recording via the camera, the image is flipped so that it appears just as you see it, on someone elses screen. You can even choose to make your self invisible to viewers by adjusting the lights so that they can only see your writing. You can also import images, documents, presentations, .pdfs, and more to annotate during your recording. Check out the images in the gallery above for a few examples.
