Civic and Social Engagements

Affinity Groups

Affinity groups connect alumni based on a shared interest or Winthrop experience. Groups have common connections — such as fraternities, sororities, honor societies, majors or residence halls. If you are interested in establishing an affinity group, joining an active group or planning a group event, please contact the alumni engagement coordinator at 803/323-3019 or alumni@winthrop.edu.

Alumni Chapters

Alumni Chapters connect fellow alumni who live or work within defined geographic areas, and offer alumni a way to gather informally without special requirements or membership fees. Each alumni chapter is governed by chapter leaders who collaborate with the Office of Alumni Relations to plan in-person and virtual activities and events that create opportunities for alumni to network and socialize. For more information or to volunteer with your local chapter, please e-mail Brittany Neely '14, alumni engagement coordinator or call 803/323-2145.

Graduates of the Last Decade (G.O.L.D.)

For more information about G.O.L.D., please e-mail the Alumni Association at alumni@winthrop.edu, or call 803/323-2145.
