About The Rex Institute

Education Core Med

The James and Susan Rex Institute for Educational Renewal and Partnership opened its doors in 2010.

The Institute honors Dr. Jim Rex, former dean of education at Winthrop University as well as the former State Superintendent of Education for South Carolina, and Dr. Sue Smith-Rex, retired Winthrop University College of Education, Sport, and Human Sciences faculty and a member of the Winthrop University Board of Trustees.
