Faculty and Staff - February 19, 2024

During last April’s Investiture Ceremony, you may recall that I briefly talked about my past experience as a grant writer and how important, and vital, grants are to the health of a university, and that one of my goals was to increase the submission of grant applications at Winthrop.

I’m happy to say that the National Science Foundation has issued a grant solicitation, Growing Research Access for Nationally Transformative Equity and Diversity (GRANTED), which provides funding to strengthen the research enterprise.

Winthrop is applying for GRANTED to build greater capacity to write successful grant applications. I encourage you to please complete this brief survey by March 10 to give us a sense of your interest and experience in applying for grants. Your feedback will help us gauge what areas of the grant application process faculty and staff need assistance with and will help us build capacity in the Grants Office to help you reach your goals.

Please note that the survey, which should only take 5-10 minutes to complete, is for all faculty and staff as there are a variety of grant opportunities available.

Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete this important survey.
