Students

If you plan to purchase a computer for coursework, please visit our Student Laptops page for recommended specifications for your program of study and for links to purchase devices through our partners. 

We strongly discourage the use of Chromebooks as they do not meet our technical standards and are incompatible with many of our university software programs. We also recommend that students do not rely on iPads or other tablets as their primary computer for coursework. 

 

University Purchases

For Apple products, browse to http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/education_routing/.  You will be able to configure a proposal and e-mail it to your purchasing agent. For non-standard Dell products or accessories such as printers, contact the Service Desk at 803/323-2400 or via e-mail at servicedesk@winthrop.edu.
