The aim of the internship is to awaken and foster an interest in biomedical research and education. It is open to students who are interested in getting a Ph.D. degree and who have excelled in their sophomore or junior years in college.

The Travelers Summer Research Fellowship Program for Premedical Students is an opportunity which gives 25 premedical students deeper insights into the field of medicine, including issues that greatly affect the health of traditionally underserved groups. Through the experiences of laboratory or clinical research, the student learns how one pursues a specific research problem under the supervision of a faculty member, thus providing an early education into basic research techniques that could be applicable to any area of medicine.

The HS-MACA/CPHHE Summer Research Institute at Creighton University introduces high school students and college students to research and prepares them for careers in the health sciences through biomedical research and community-based research.

Dartmouth's Academic Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (ASURE) provides summer research experience to undergraduates. Focusing on academic research, networking, and mentoring, ASURE prepares students for future graduate research training. ASURE is open to all non-Dartmouth students.

Danforth interns gain exposure to all aspects of modern scientific research, from design to experimentation to reporting. See first-hand what it takes to become a world-class plant scientist, and the broader impact of scientific discovery.

The Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and Professional Studies awards nine-week Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships (SURF) to undergraduate students wishing to explore biomedical research careers.

The Academy is offering a summer biomedical research opportunity for undergraduates to get hands-on experience in research. Summer students work closely with post-doctorates, graduate students, and lab personnel of the Irell & Manella Graduate School of Biological Science.

The Harvard Summer Research Program in Kidney Medicine (HSRPKM) offers a robust and varied introduction to the world of kidney medicine (nephrology) for undergraduate college students considering a career in science or medicine and particularly suited for students who are interested in pursuing a PhD or MD PhD. The program is an intensive research experience and students are encouraged to become immersed in their project by reading about the focus of the laboratory and participating in meetings and events hosted by the laboratory.

The Four Directions Summer Research Program (FDSRP) is a unique summer research opportunity at Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) for undergraduate rising sophomores, juniors and seniors with a commitment to the health of Native American communities. Students engage in a basic science research project under the direction of a Harvard Medical School Faculty Mentor.
