Internships & Research

Internships

Every semester the History Department, in conjunction with the York County Culture and Heritage Museums, offers a number of internships. Qualifying History majors serving these internships earn three hours of academic credit as HIST 463: Academic Internships in History.

For information about current opportunities and further details, please contact Dr. Eddie Lee, Bancroft 364, leee@winthrop.edu.

History majors also may serve internships at the Louise Pettus Archives and Special Collections, Dacus Library. For information about these internships, History majors initially should contact Kaitlin Burdette, Director of Archives and Special Collections, at burdettek@winthrop.edu.

Registration for HIST 463 requires approval from the department chair. For further information about the History Department, please contact Dr. Donald Rakestraw.
