EDGAR — Securities and Exchange Commission — EDGAR, the Electronic Data Gathering, Analysis, and Retrieval system, performs automated collection, validation, indexing, acceptance, and forwarding of submissions by companies and others who are required by law to file forms with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

U.S.Tax Guide Online — A free resource that provides access to the complete text of the United States Internal Revenue Code. 

Finance Resources

Yahoo Finance — Yahoo! Finance is a media property that is part of Yahoo!'s network. It provides financial news, data and commentary including stock quotes, press releases, financial reports, and original programming.

Federal Reserve — The Federal Reserve Systemalso known as the Federal Reserve is the central banking system of the United States.

The World Bank Commodity Price Data — The World Bank monitors major commodity markets important to the developing countries. Monthly prices for over 70 series are published online. 

CME Group Economic Research — CME Group Inc. is an American futures company and one of the largest options and futures exchanges. It owns and operates large derivatives and futures exchanges in Chicago and New York City, as well as online trading platforms. 

X-rates Currency Rates — Free foreign exchange rates and tools including a currency conversion calculator, historical rates and graphs, and a monthly exchange rate average. 

IDEAS — IDEAS is a central index of economics and finance research, including working papers, articles and software code.

Yahoo Mutual Funds Center — Yahoo! Finance is a media property that is part of Yahoo!'s network. It provides financial news, data and commentary including stock quotes, press releases, financial reports, and original programming.

Financial Management Association International — The FMA is an organization established to promote the development of high-quality research that extends the frontier of financial knowledge, promotes the understanding of basic and applied research and of sound financial practices, enhances the quality and relevance of education in finance, and provides opportunities for professional interaction between and among academics, practitioners, and students.

Exchanges

NYSE — The New York Stock Exchange, is an American stock exchange located at 11 Wall Street, Lower Manhattan, New York City, New York. 

NASDAQ — The NASDAQ Stock Market, commonly known as the NASDAQ, is an American stock exchange. It is the second-largest exchange in the world by market capitalization, behind only the New York Stock Exchange

London Stock Exchange — The London Stock Exchange is a stock exchange located in the City of London in the United Kingdom. As of December 2014, the Exchange had a market capitalization of US$6.06 trillion, making it the third largest stock exchange in the world, and the largest in Europe. 

Tokyo Stock Exchange — The Tokyo Stock Exchange (Tky Shken Torihikijo), which is called Tsh or TSE for short, is a stock exchange located in Tokyo, Japan. It is the fourth largest stock exchange in the world by aggregate market capitalization of its listed companies, and largest in East Asia and Asia. As of April 2015, the Toyo Stock Exchange listed 2,292 companies with a combined market capitalization of US$4.09 trillion. 

Shanghai Stock Exchange — The Shanghai Stock Exchange, is a stock exchange that is based in the city of Shanghai, China. It is one of the two stock exchanges operating independently in the People's Republic of China, the other being the Shenzhen Stock Exchange 

Frankfurt Stock Exchange — The Frankfurt Stock Exchange (Frankfurter Wertpapierbrse, FWB) is the world's 10th largest stock exchange by market capitalization. The exchange had a market capitalization of US $ 1,776 billion as of July 2015.

 

Economics Resources

National Bureau of Economic Research — The National Bureau of Economic Research is an American private nonprofit research organization "committed to undertaking and disseminating unbiased economic research among public policymakers, business professionals, and the academic community." 

American Institute for Economics Research — The American Institute for Economic Research, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts, is an independent 501 economic research institute that represents no fund, concentration of wealth, or other special interests. 

Federal Reserve — The Federal Reserve Systemalso known as the Federal Reserve is the central banking system of the United States. 

FRED Economic Data — Federal Reserve Economic Data (FRED) is a database maintained by the Research division of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis that has more than 381,000 economic Time series from 81 sources. The data can be viewed in graphical and text form or downloaded for import to a database or spreadsheet, and viewed on mobile devices. They cover banking, business/fiscal, consumer price indexes, employment and population, exchange rates, gross domestic product, interest rates, monetary aggregates, producer price indexes, reserves and monetary base, U.S. trade and international transactions, and U.S. financial data. The time series are compiled by the Federal Reserve and collected from government agencies such as the U.S. Census and the Bureau of Labor Statistics. 

Economics Online — a free digital resource for students of Economics with regular updates and a blog.

North-Holland Handbooks in Economics — The Handbooks in Economics series provides the various branches of economics with definitive reference sources, suitable for use by professional researchers, advanced graduate students, or by those seeking a teaching supplement. With contributions from leading researchers in the field, each volume presents an authoritative, self-contained survey of the topic under examination.
