Faculty and Staff - September 25, 2023

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the cabinet, and the Strategic Planning Steering Committee, thank you for your participation in last week’s strategic planning town halls. The engagement was excellent, as students, faculty/staff, alumni and community stakeholders received a comprehensive update on the strategic planning process to date. 

I want to thank the steering committee, led by Special Assistant for Community Engagement Gary Simrill, for their hard work guiding us to this point and our BRG partners who have proven to be the right consultants for our project. You are encouraged to reach out to your representatives on the committee with any additional comments and questions you may have.

As a follow up to the town halls, for those who may not have been able to attend in person or virtually, we have updated the Strategic Planning website with links to town hall recordings and the slide deck used for the update. The email address, strategy@winthrop.edu, is still live as well, and BRG will continue to monitor this account.

Importantly, and as a next step in the process, we have another survey we want you to complete. This one presents the draft Strategic Pillars and Priorities that were presented in the town halls, the updated Mission, Vision, and Values drafts, as well as some questions on your impressions of the strategic planning process so far. Your feedback will guide the Board, cabinet, and steering committee, as we all collectively work together to finalize the Strategic Plan.
