Mission Statement

The Office of Residence Life is dedicated to providing opportunities for students to develop personally and as part of a community through purposeful programs and services that complement the total educational experience at Winthrop University.
 

Core Values:

1. Community - We are commited to fostering a community where students feel connected to Winthrop and each other.
2. Resiliency - We desire to help students grow personally while living in the residence halls. Dealing with conflict, helping others, and learning more about the person you want to become are all parts of the residential experience at Winthrop.
3. Safety - We want students to feel safe in our residence halls. This includes physically safe through numerous security measures, but also safe to express themselves appropriately.
