Test Center

Community Proctoring Services

The OA Test Center offers a wide variety of testing for the local community. This may include exams for other institutions, organizations, or companies, and may be administered on paper and/or computer as indicated by the authorized representative for your exam. Please note that the OA Test Center does not offer remote (off-campus) proctoring or proctoring for international exams. You may click on the options below for more information on how we can assist you in meeting your testing needs. If you are unsure if your exam qualifies for proctoring with our office, please contact us at testcenter@winthrop.edu.

*Please note: The OA Test Center does not proctor most standardized exams (e.g., SAT, TOEFL, GRE, LSAT) as they must be administered at designated centers by the testing agency. These exams will often have a directory of centers that you may choose from when registering on their website.

Distance Learning Proctoring

We offer distance learning examinations Monday - Thursday between 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Friday Testing Not Available Until Further Notice.

All exams are by appointment only. Candidates should make appointment at least 3 business days in advance to allow the candidate and home institution sufficient time to supply our office with necessary information, paperwork, and materials. The allowed test time must fit within our normal hours of operation.

Fees

Proctoring fees vary from $25-100, depending on the length of the exam. A $15 convenience fee will be applied to all exam requests not giving adequate notice. No test administered without payment and it must reach our office prior to your appointment. Payment is by credit card only. You may pay online through the Winthrop University Marketplace once you have received your confirmation e-mail. All test fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Any return postage and mailing supplies are the responsibility of the candidate or home institution. Winthrop University is not responsible for any mailing fees to return tests.
