Mission Statement

The mission of the Winthrop University OA Test Center is to offer a variety of testing opportunities for the campus and the community. Our trained staff are courteous and committed to offering a confidential environment that is accessible to all individuals. By adhering to the NCTA Professional Standards and Guidelines, we maintain academic integrity while helping our test takers meet their educational goals.

 

About Us

The OA Test Center is available to all Winthrop University students who are registered with the Office of Accessibility (OA) for testing accommodations. We offer a reduced distraction environment, extended time, and test reading software.

We also offer test proctoring for distance learners or individuals in the community needing proctored exams for certification/licensing requirements (e.g. Real Estate Pre-Licensing exams, Public Safety Testing, or disatnce learners from other higher education institutions). Hours and Location

The Test Center is located on the ground floor of Macfeat House in room 104.

Fall/Spring Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.– 3:00 p.m.
Summer Hours of Operation: Monday – Thursday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and CLOSED on Fridays.

Visitor Parking and Registration

  • Visitors to Winthrop University that desire to park on university property must obtain a visitor parking permit from the Winthrop University Police Department.Visitor registration for 24 hours or less is free of charge. Current Winthrop students are not considered visitors and must have a permit.
