All students pursuing a BA in Modern Languages are required to take the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview in order to receive their diploma. Those students pursuing the degree with certification to teach in grades K-12, or with plans to apply to the MAT5 or MAT program in Spanish or French, are expected to score at a level of "Advanced-Low". Students pursuing the degree without certification are expected to score at a level of "Intermediate-High."
