On behalf of our faculty and staff colleagues, welcome to University College! Our primary focus is high impact student success for all Winthrop students. The college is also unique in that it serves and supports each and every Winthrop undergraduate student. Through the college's departments, programs, curriculum, and services, University College is the home for Academic Advising and Student Services for undeclared majors, the Academic Success Center, the Common Book, the First Year Experience, general education, the Honors program, the International Center, Leadership Studies, the Learning Excellent Academic Practices (LEAP) program, McNair Scholars, nationally competitive awards, transfer student services, the TRiO Achievers program, and undergraduate research.
The Dean's office (located in 209 Dinkins Hall) provides leadership and administrative support that facilitates the work of the faculty and staff in the College while also promoting student success and high impact practices across the entire University.
