The Department of Mass Communication has been accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications [ACEJMC] through rigorous examination. Attainment of high standards ensures curriculum and technology standards are delivered. Winthrop is one of two programs in South Carolina who holds this distinction and one of 114 in the United States of America.
