Since 2015, the Department of Mass Communication has proudly housed the South Carolina's Broadcasters Association's Hall of Fame. Created in 1973, the Hall of Fame has been honoring individuals who
have made exemplary contributions leading to the growth and development of the broadcast
industry. The Hall of Fame recognizes those who have made broadcast contributions
inside South Carolina and South Carolinians who have impacted broadcasting outside
of the state. Inductees have reached the highest levels of achievement and success
in broadcasting on local and national levels.
The SCBA Hall of Fame gallery is housed on the second floor of Johnson Hall.
